Jan 24 2008

I typed in my search thing "fun times" and this is what came up. Bridget is 2 months, and Lucas is 17.5 months, I just love this video, excuse my nasal voice, I was so stuffed up, but it is so cute and wanted to share.

*sigh* it makes me realize how fast they are growing up. :(

Pumpkin Patch

Wow, have we really been to this place 3x already? Its crazy the more kids you have the faster time seems to fly by! Every year there is always someone new this year it was Scarlett!

Here are the links from the last 2 times 2007 and 2008

It was a "brisk" 36 degrees today and my kids refused to wear jackets and I said fine - no complaining. It wasn't actually that cold but lil' Bridget just couldn't take it so she warmed up in my jacket. The whole way home Lucas said "Mommy next time I will listen and wear my jacket, I am sorry to not listen." So, my firmness worked! :)

Here are my kids waiting for Veronica and the boys...
Here they all are the crazy 5...
One of our favorite things is to run through the pumpkins...
I just love this one...
oh and this one too...
Bridget wore this 12 month outfit last year to the pumpkin patch and my 7 month old is a little too fat for it already! :)
Veronica was nice enough to push the tire swing...
This year we went into the mini 3 foot corn maze...the boys thought it was pretty cool.
Then I peeled back the corn to show them what was growing...
They were all very excited! We need to express our excitement, so look at Lucas...
Scarlett hitched a ride in Elijah's stroller, since Bridget was in Scarlett's.
A hug from a friend is always nice.
Climbing on some punkins. Didn't you know that sticking your tongue out is a balance stabilizer?
One last picture by the barn before we go...
Thanks for another fun day at the pumpkin patch, see ya next year Auntie V and Noah and Elijah!!!

Fallish Weather = Fallish Food

YUM!

After Lunch Group at my house - Scarlett woke up trying to climb up the stairs...
She was the only one who thought it was funny.

Then my kids were determined to go outside where they discovered something...
SNOW!
See it?
Apparently we needed to taste it.

So for dinner we made Chicken Tortilla Soup snuggled up in the blankets and watched Glee...my kids like the songs. :) I love this weather. Oh, and I love being back!

New York Mini Trip

Scarlett was a great traveler, as I knew she would be. She slept on the flight there and on the way home. Did I mention that both flights were delayed and that I had to hold her feedings till we took off and she wasn't "out of control" like some kids or certain flight attendants thought she would be because of her age.

Here she is trying to go outside before our flight took off.
The funeral was so beautiful and so were the words that everyone said about Grandma Averna. Scarlett was pretty quiet during the wake and loved the attention she got from cousins, aunts and uncles that were there.

We got to our hotel really late and I was worried that she wouldn't sleep through the night, but she did!

Here she is in our beautiful hotel room...we stayed at the Hilton and it was a really nice hotel.
I had to get a few city shots, these are from what our hotel faced.
Scarlett and Grandpa Horn.
Scarlett and Auntie Steph.
We then went to the mass and burial and it was so windy and cool kind of like Pocahontas where the winds meant that change was going to happen...it was so calm.

After that we went to the luncheon where Scarlett was a little performer, crawling and going from her belly to sitting up all by herself. She loved the applause.

We then had to head back to the airport where Scarlett showed us her new way to sit in the stroller...
On the airplane.
It was a quick trip and I am exhausted but grateful that I could be there. It was also nice to just have time with my baby. I missed the other two but it would have been to much to take them all. I now get to make Lunch for Lunch Bunch since I am hosting it today. Whew!

PS. DELTA sucks!

Funky Weekend

Grandma Averna passed away on Saturday and we are all very sad because she was such a neat lady. So in order to make things easier on everyone I decided to take Scarlett with me to New York so no one had to watch 3 kids 3 and under. We worked everything out with Nathan's mom and Nathan's work so everything could run smoothly while I was gone. To my suprise my sister flew out here for the day so she wouldn't have to fly from LA to NY by herself and so she could see my babies. The first thing we had to do was play with Lucas's firetrucks!
We also did a quick project...check out my blog HERE tomorrow, and a few other things before we left for New York.
Things are a little crazy especially since I won't be back till Thursday and that is my day to host Lunch Group. Its going to be a hectic and sad week, BUT something good about this week is that my baby you know this one...
is going to be 7 MONTHS tomorrow! Wa-hoo! She is getting much stronger (leg-and-hip-wise) and is still such a Cutie! Don't cha think?
Hehehehe

Just A Girl - No Doubt

After nap this girl needs a change, I change her and she asks for her Ribbit Clips..which means Frog clips. Then I leave to start cleaning the bathroom and she rips her diaper off, with her pants and puts her Dora panties on and asks Lucas to put her raw-berry cake socks on, (Strawberry Shortcake) and then she bolts for the bathroom. She is reaching for her chap stick.
This girl lathered her lips in chap stick and then turned around and posed for me. Tyra would be proud, she is even smiesing!
Then she follows her sister and crawls into her room...
...where I put Scarlett on the bed so I can clean the bathroom and I find this...
What am I going to do when they want to wear make up and jewelery?
Two things I hate! I am in trouble?

Always Be My Baby - Mariah Carey

I sent Lucas to time out and Bridget played good cop.
Whatever, I will always be the mean one. Then he returned the favor.
If I didn't explain these pictures you would think she was totally loving on him and rocking him to sleep like her baby. Aww, that is a much better story.
