GRANDPAAAAAAAAA! part deux

My husband, kids and father let me sleep in a bit this morning. (ya'll know sleeping in for me is 7:30) It was great! Nathan made pancakes, and the kids played while my Dad cuddled with Scare-Bear!

After breakfast we decided to go to Boondocks instead of Chuck E. Cheese because it was closer and because Lucas really really wanted to go play golf with his Grandpa.

The kids came outside with me to check the weather and then we put on our new outfits, piled into the car and went to Boondocks.

It was still a little cold out so we played the arcade games first...

Then Nathan reminded me why we didn't dance at our wedding...

After the indoor part of our morning we headed out to the putt putt courses...

We had Good Times for lunch, took naps and then me and my Dad had some quality bonding time at Target. Wa-hoo!

After we got back we all played a little Wii and then my Dad told the kids that he wanted to go to the toy store before it snowed. Lucas lit up and ran to get his shoes. We went to Toys R Us. I teared up a little because when I was little my Grandma and Grandpa Horn would come and visit and take us to the toy store and let us pick any toy we wanted. MY Grandpa especaially liked to watch us test all of the toys and pick the most perfect one. He didn't even mind that we spent most of our time in the Barbie aisle. I always loved that they would take us and let us pick so when my dad took my kids it made me miss my Grandpa Jerry a little bit.
I thought Lucas would have picked a GeoTrax but instead he did a really awesome job picking an Imaginext FireStation and everyone including myself thinks that it is a great toy. Bridget picked a Baby that moves and coos and we couldn't get out of there without the pink ball. :) The kids kept saying Thank-You to their Grandpa and Lucas hasn't stopped playing with his since.

While I made dinner, (yes again) Bridget had some more time with her Grandpa...she sure does love him. :) I must say that I love to cook, but I feel inadequate compared to my father. He has offered to cook, but he is the guest so I shouldn't complain! :)

It was quite a day and we got home just before the weather really started. I can't wait for the kids to get one more day with their Grandpa! :)

LOL. Michael loves DDR. I am terrible at it, but it doesn't stop me from trying!

Too funny...I love how your dad sticks him foot in to help Nathan! The picture of Bridget holding and loving on her baby is so cute!

I am so glad your dad is there...and of course what would a visit be without snow? By the way...I'm so in love with Bridget's flip flops!
